Privacy Policy
AdsBlock is a Safari content blocker for iOS and iPadOS that removes ads and trackers from the web pages you visit. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
What AdsBlock does on your device
AdsBlock works entirely on your device using Apple's Safari Content Blocker framework. It applies a set of filtering rules to pages as Safari loads them, blocking ad and tracker requests before they run. This happens locally โ your browsing activity is never routed through AdsBlock's own servers.
Information we collect
AdsBlock does not collect, store, or share your browsing history, the pages you visit, or the content you view. We do not require an account, and we do not build a profile of your activity.
We may collect limited, non-identifying information to keep the app working, such as:
- Anonymous crash and performance data, used only to fix bugs
- App Store purchase and download data, handled by Apple under its own privacy terms
How filter rules are updated
AdsBlock periodically downloads updated blocking rules so new ad and tracker patterns keep getting caught. This update check does not transmit your browsing activity โ it only fetches the latest rule list.
Third parties
AdsBlock does not sell or share data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies. Any anonymous crash reporting is handled by a service used solely for stability monitoring, and it does not receive your browsing data.
Children's privacy
AdsBlock does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app does not require any personal information to function.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of AdsBlock after a change means you accept the updated policy.
